Lessons Learned 12/18/01
Ultimately, this has been a lesson in many things. However, one lesson that I really want to convey with you is the power of emotions and the power of prayer. Emotions and the states of mind they create are really the most powerful things in our existence. No matter how hard I may want to rationalize anything, emotions are always likely to be stronger. Consequently, if I can make one emotion stronger than another, I can achieve whatever it is I desire. So, I learned that praying to be moved to a particular state, such as that of strength is much more impactful than praying for particular actions like getting back together. Prayer accomplishes a lot more when we give God the freedom to mold us in the way that She knows is best, as opposed to whatever we may happen to think. So, I prayed for healing and satisfaction with life, and God has given me both. In fact, in the last week, a good friend has become a little bit more, and that is an opportunity I would have never been able to have otherwise. So, God knows best, and that is something that makes me feel good. Previous | END
