"Huh?" "Your thoughts, silly girl. I can read them," she said. "Yeah right, and I'm Aphrodite," I thought trying to think of something more pleasant to say. "No silly, I'm Aphrodite," she said patting me on the head. Now, I was really awake! "No way!" "Way. Now, what does a goddess have to do to get invited inside this skanky apartment?" she said as she looked over my shoulder. "Don't you ever clean up in here? I know you're a femme, but you could at least put the bras and such in the hamper." "You know, you do sorta look like that girl who plays Aphrodite on Xena , but that's just a show." "I am Aphrodite," she insisted. "I just play myself on the show." "Really?" I asked dubiously. "Really," she said crossing her heart and smiling. "Now, are you going to invite me in?" "Okay, I guess. Come in."
