National Stonewall and HRC sponsored a lunch for the delegates. We hiked through battalions of police and saw some activity in the streets.
Monday night also featured to LGBT parties. WE were invited to the famous Polo Room at the Beverly Hills Hotel for an elegant soiree sponsored by National Stonewall. Lily Tomlin was a confirmed attendee but did not show. Ellen Degeneres did show for about 15 minutes.
Next was a party at the 360 room at the top of a very tall building (says the woman who lives in a town with about three multi-story buildings). It was loud and late so this old girl went home.
On Tuesday the first order of business was to change the name of our caucus. We are now officially the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered caucus. And given that there were to be three different glbt speakers that day and night, we planned visibility for these speeches.
