Two Moms, One Baby and a Birth Certificate - By Sarah Crary Gregory But all's well that ends well, and the court in Massachusetts did the right thing, even though it really shouldn't have had to do anything at all. As far as I'm concerned, Finn and Knoll were parents all along, having agreed to assume responsibility for a child's life and well being, for better or for worse, through diapers and tantrums and flying yogurt and all. But even my opinion on this, plus a buck, will barely get you a cup of coffee these days. The only person besides Finn and Knoll who should have a say in naming this child's parents can't speak yet, but I have no doubt in my mind that he knows the score. A baby boy was born in Massachusetts on June 21, 2000. He has two mothers.
